About Furby URGENT 911

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

This is a Hail Mary post , I just saw the Philly shelter has this sweet beautiful girl time stamped for tomorrow to be euthanized . I am praying somebody sees this and saves Furby , we need a foster or an adopter to save her . Without one of these she will be put to sleep because the shelter is beyond full and needs to make space . If you can foster or adopt this beautiful sweetheart please text or call Kat 516 457-3678. Below is her FB page , please i hope there is a night owl looking here right now to say Yes. Timestamped Furby is such a cute fun girl, but she's starting to have some kennel stress when being returned to her kennel. I took video when I returned her, and tossing in treats really helped, so I had no issue with her behavior. Furby is easy to leash, comes right out, stopped to smell my shoes, then kept on walking. I thought she might be an energetic walker, but actually she was fine, walked with minimal pulling. She is so darn cute, with a soft shiny brindle coat, and is a medium size dog. She's on meds for her canine cold, and had several big sneezes, but otherwise looks to be in pretty good shape. She's estimated to be 4 yrs old and weighs about 50 lbs. In the yard, she is a happy girl when she finds a toy. When she found a ball, she ran with it and we played fetch for a while. Then she found a stuffed toy, and we played tug - she brought the toy right to me, and though she holds on to it, she puts her head in my lap for me to play tug with her. Eventually she just wanted to pull it apart. Her energy level in the yard is a medium level - she enjoys playing and tossing her toys, but no big zoomies, no jumping no mouthing. She always stopped playing so I could give her butt scratches, sometimes curling herself between my knees before moving just far enough away for me to scratch her butt. She showed me sit and takes the treats gently. She likes balls, she likes stuffed toys, but she loves butt scratches the best!! She seems to be dog selective, so currently she should be an only dog. I returned her to her kennel with no issue. I tossed in treats which really helped her enter her kennel and remove her leash, see video. Furby must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28, 10 A.M. If you think she'll be a good fit for your family and lifestyle, please come meet her at 111 W Hunting Park Ave. Her bio: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/ACCT-A-171048 For applications and all available dogs visit the shelter website at www.acctphilly.org. Euthanasia can occur BEFORE the timestamp, and extensions are unlikely to be granted, so it is imperative to let the shelter know, email [email protected], if you are considering adopting or tagging an animal.
