About Polo

Polo ended up in an over crowded shelter when someone just happened to 'find' 22 beagle puppies and take them in as strays! Lucky for Polo, we have some beagle lovin' fosters and Polo was welcomed into our program. He is now around 14-16 weeks old and weighs just under 20 pounds. He's in a foster home with lots of other dogs and he enjoys romping, playing and being part of the pack. His favorite activity is spashing in his kiddie pool! How cute is that! He's in the process of being crate and housetrained but he's still a puppy and will need a structured schedule and training. He's 100% cutenes and fun and sure to bring tons of joy to his furEVER family! Polo is likely a beagle mix and will be medium sized when grown. We can't be sure. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
