Mittens is a loyal and playful cat who enjoys regular cuddle-time and appreciates your attention as he loves to follow you around and hang out where you are. Mittens was a rescue cat who bore a scar on his neck. After coaxing him into safety with some tuna, we provided him with the warmth and care he needed. For four days, he slept almost continuously, recuperating from his previous life. Mittens received vaccinations, neuter, microchip, and we discovered he had a food allergy to chicken. From day one, Mittens has consistently used his litter box, and we've watched him transform into an adorable, loving, and playful cat. He enjoys snuggling with you, interactive toys, cat trees, and watching squirrels. The scar on his neck is barely noticeable now. We found chicken-free food he loves, easily ordered from Chewy.com. We've observed that Mittens prefers either to be the only cat in the household or to live with a dog. We have three other cats, and he is stressed by being around cats and we need to keep them separated. Mittens has been in our home for over a year as an indoor cat. Before our large dog passed away, Mittens and our dog shared nose kisses and cuddles frequently, he truly enjoyed the company of our dog and missed him when he was no longer around. Mittens tends to get stressed easily (at least with the smell of three other cats in the house) but would be an ideal companion for a calm home with a cat-friendly dog or where he can be the king of his castle as an only pet. Mittens is not just a survivor; he is a sweet, affectionate cat who purrs contentedly when cuddled and loves to be brushed. His love for human interaction makes him a perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and loving pet. Please consider opening your heart to Mittens. Adopting him will help him thrive as he is becoming more stressed being shuffled from room to room to avoid our other cats. His spunky and cuddly personality will be a delightful addition to a loving, non-stressful home.
