Becky is available for adoption. Becky has had quite a sad past, but it has not broken her sweet spirit. This gentle giant was found as a stray a couple of years ago. She was a bit of an escape artist, so her owner kept her tethered on a thick chain. She lived outside 24/7. Of course, like many dogs in the south that do not get vet care, she contracted heartworm disease. She is now living comfortably in a home, and has recently completed her round of heartworm treatment. She has tested negative for microfilaria. We are thrilled. She still can be an escape artist if left outside unattended. She is a strong digger and can climb a 5' fence. As it turns out, she just wanted to find me and make sure I was safe and didn't leave her. After a couple of times more, she finally believed I was not trying to abandon her and has stopped that behavior. She loves all people and all sizes of dogs. She has even been gentle with seniors and patient with rambunctious puppies. Becky is really as ideal dog. She is crate trained, potty trained, spayed, up to date on immunizations. She could still use a little more leash work and possibly some basic obedience to achieve perfection. This sweet Black Mouth Cur mix is right at about 50 pounds. At just over 2 years old, she has a long happy life ahead of her. Good with Men Good with Women Good with Children Good with Dogs Good with Cats
