About Della

Della has worked her charms on so many of our volunteers! She is sweet to the core and makes friends (2 legged and 4 legged) very easily. She does have one non functioning eye that appears to have experienced some type of trauma but it does not seem to be painful or bothersome. She is getting into the potty routine at her foster home with a dog door and frequent opportunities to get out...which is what she will need. She is estimated 9 years old and is around 19#. She is quiet and could do well in a townhouse or condo type setting with someone retired or who works from home. She walks nicely on a leash and does fine in a crate for short periods though would much prefer to be hanging with her humans. She is great with kids and has a very gentle spirit so we suspect would be ok with cats too. She got a dental while in the rescue and also had a small mass removed. This easy going lady would be a great companion for a senior but could also do well in a family situation!
