About Zoey

Zoey is a 5 1/2 month old cattle dog mix that was abandoned. It appears someone set her lose in the area on purpose and we found her running down the middle of a busy roadway. We rescued her with only the intentions of keeping her safe and turning her over to a no kill shelter in the local area. We have had her checked and she is not chipped. We cannot keep her since we already have three older dogs, and while she seems to have no issues with them, they are not receptive to her at all. And we have to keep everyone separated which we cannot continue to maintain. We have taken her to the vet for her first and second shots. She is a healthy, rambunctious puppy who just wants to be with you and play. She is crate trained, but not house trained. She is a puppy, so if not monitored everything goes into her mouth! Having said that, she is extremely sweet and loves belly rubs and water. We have placed her on other adoption sites and looking to find her a good home. With my elderly mother now living with us and my spouses elderly mother living in the area and not able to drive, our plates are very full. We cannot sustain keeping this dog, we had good intentions in keeping her from getting run over, but we can't keep this up. She seems as if she is going to be extremely smart and loving. We are also happy to have her spayed as well. �%A0Currently, she is scheduled for spay on 10 September.
