About Missy

Missy is a snuggle bear who loves to curl up and have arms wrapped around her. As a sweet two- to three-year-old dog of medium size, she really is a nice fit for a fun family or couple. She gives 'four paws up' for people who like their dogs to be participating family members! This pretty girl is a mixed breed with some hound traits. She would love trails, sniff walks, and Find It games to hunt for treats scattered around the yard. She also loves water play and swimming. Basically, any adventure will do. She'd love a fenced yard. Missy is great with both adults and kids. She also gets along with other dogs. Beyond that, she is a serious cuddler and easy to fall in love with. She is potty-trained and crate-trained as well as spayed and UTD on shots. Hounds have an innate prey drive and love chasing critters. This is where Missy shows her scent dog powers. Her family must be careful with open doors and outdoor gates. For this reason, Missy is not a fit for young children who are more likely to keep entries open. No cats, please. Missy loves them, but not in a good way! Missy is in a foster home in Jamaica Plain and under the care of our friends at A Place for Ace. Missy was so happy when rescued after being dumped and having to fend for herself on the streets. The final step in her journey is a forever home.
