This little sad sack of a goofball is Eros. He was formerly my sister's dog and a failed foster. He was originally fostered from the Houston Humane Society during the pandemic by my Niece with the intention of training and socializing him and then returning him to the shelter for adoption; however, her mom (my sister) fell in love with him. Unfortunately for him, my sister had no experience with training a powerful breed like a Staffy and she couldn't control him. Plus, she has numerous issues and she lacked the presence of mind to supervise him properly. My sister was in a car accident last October and she had to move to a facility where Staffy's are prohibited. He became my dog at that point; however, in May I lost my house in the Derecho when a tree fell one it. I moved to a rental while I figure out what to do for housing long term. Unfortunately, my schedule and lifestyle just isn't conducive to good dog ownership and although he is allowed at the rental, I just don't have the time to train him or give him the proper mental stimulation he needs. Eros needs more than just to be locked up in a backyard 24/7 . He deserves an owner who will work with him and instill good dog obedience. Socialize him, and take him fun places. Eros is potty trained, but he isn't above the occasional Oops! When it comes to dog obedience he is a little stubborn like a slow child. I've figured out he is trainable, I've taught him to sit and wait while I sit his food down. I think he knows 'sit' pretty well, and to 'lie down' with a food bribe. He needs work on well .. everything . He doesn't know how to walk to heel, he's a puller!
