About Sam

Sam is a playful and loving 60 lb mixed breed dog looking for his forever home. Rescued from the streets of Bakersfield, he joined our family when my mom adopted him the day she was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, after my mom passed away in June, I became homeless and living in hotels, making it difficult to care for Sam. Sam loves outdoor adventures, especially fetch at the park. His zest for life is contagious, and he will bring endless joy to his new family. Once you get to know him, you'll see that Sam is a loving and affectionate companion. Sam has been responding wonderfully to treat training over the past few days, showing great promise in his ability to learn and adapt. He enjoys the mental stimulation that training provides. Sam needs a patient, understanding family to continue his training and provide a safe space to overcome his fears. A yard for running and playing fetch would be perfect. Adopting Sam means welcoming a loyal, playful, and loving dog into your life.
