About Gato

This is Gato. He is a 5 month old pure-breed Australian Cattle dog. He is a sweet puppy, he loves attention, enjoys forehead kisses, and loves being brushed. Gato is a sweetheart but, he has a lot of nipping/herding issues. You can't be sitting down without being nipped at. He also does it randomly or when trying to communicate. We've been trying to minimize the nipping and herding, which are common in this breed but we've not been successful. He was separated from his mom at just 2 months old, which might explain his tendency to nip and herd anyone new he meets. He tends to nip anyone new he meets & can't be around kids. He's also going through his teething phase, which can also be the reason he nips so much when he's bored or not getting enough attention. He's fully potty trained for the outdoors. At night, he sleeps in his crate. He's a quick learner-he can give both paws, sit, and lay.
