About Arlo

We made the best decision to adopt Arlo as an 8 week old pup. He has been by our side every minute of every day. He travels well, plays well and is now pretty low maintenance as an adult.. He is so loyal, friendly and must say hello to every dog and human he sees when allowed to. He is extremely intelligent, and will hunt for toys if you ask etc! He loves to spin and shake his booty for a pet and leaps for joy when he sees you reach for the leash to go on a walk. He will greet you with a friendly sit if you keep him accountable and will stay for long periods of time when asked along with many other tricks he does well. He loves exploring outside but his favorite place to be is right next to his humans. Arlo has been by our side for the 2.5 years we've had the privilege of owning him. We are heartbroken we cannot keep him in the family. If you are looking for a best friend for the next 10-15 years and can care for him, please consider Arlo. When our baby was born, Arlo progressively became more and more jealous and unfortunately hasn't taken to the new addition well. He has shown nothing but love for toddlers and big kids, but was pushed to his limit when we did not have the same attention for him. He has had a puppy sibling the last 8 months and has done well with her. He has only shown very high disinterest in cats. Please only consider adopting if you have the capacity for a highly intelligent and moderately active dog. Arlo will have a fresh bath and a year of flea and tick prevention.
