About Scotty

Meet Scotty! Scotty is a 3-year old mix - His DNA test showed him to be 48% Poodle, 27% Chihuahua with some Shih Tzu, Pomeranian and Dachshund thrown in. He is smart, athletic, playful, and up for anything you do. Scotty absolutely loves walking! He is great on a leash, loves long walks, and definitely would do well with someone that has an active lifestyle to help with his energetic nature. Scotty doesn't mind the company of other dogs, but he would prefer to be your one-and-only - that is where he's really thrive. Scotty is also very smart! He knows basic commands and is very easy to train. He's even graduated Level-1 Agility with flying colors! He loves not only having physical exercise but mental exercise and will continue to do well learning more commands. He needs to be placed in an adult-only home (no kids) with either an individual or a couple. We also request Scotty go to a home with an experienced dog owner. While Scotty is adorable and smart, he is a quirky dog at heart and needs someone who is in tune to his personality and moods - someone who can listen to and respond well to his verbal and non-verbal communication, cues, and dog language. He also takes a little bit to warm up to strangers, so when introducing him you need to do it at his pace and understand that he will just take a little time. Scotty's $300 adoption donation includes his vet exam, vaccinations, neuter surgery, training program, flea treatment and microchip.
