About MIKEY

HI - I'M MIKEY! I'm a young (about 1-1/2 years old) small terrier in need of a home with a very experienced adopter. You see, I'm terrified of people. I watch my foster mom from afar, and I really want to get to know her - but I'm not quite there yet. I cannot be picked up or petted as that would freak me out. So quite honestly, I'm a special needs dog right now, and can only go to someone who understands scared dogs, and who can work with me and be extremely patient. A big yard wouldn't work for me as you'd never coax me in, so I also need a special set-up, if you have one. I know I may have to wait awhile for a home, but my rescuers believe I will eventually come around to be a loving, happy dog. I weigh only 5 pounds. I do get along great with other dogs and they give me comfort, as I can learn from them. I am currently in California but can be transported to you in Oregon or Washington.
