(03/11/2023) Reece will be going through heartworm treatment and will be available for local adoption (1 hour drive from Wake Forest, NC) and our rescue will pay for it, so don't let that stop you from adopting her. Reece is one of our famous mommas of some incredibly cute puppies and now that she has raised her pups, it's time for her to find her loving, lap of luxury! Reece is looking for an active family or person who wants to add some life and love to their world. She loves tough chew toys to play with and bet she will make a great companion if you want to be out in the yard tossing a ball or frisbee around. In addition, longs walks or maybe some jogs would likely be great energy releases for her as well. Her foster family has taught her some basic commands already like SIT, WAIT and to not jump up. She takes treats gently and is eager to learn lots more. Are you someone who wants a companion to grow with and be a part of the learning, positive training, and fun learning? Reece would be a great student with ears that listen and tail that wags. Both mental and physical activity is really what young, smart Reece is looking for; those things will keep her sharp mind working and keep her from getting into young dog troubles like chewing on things they shouldn't be! She really loves people and would likely do well with another fun, playful and gentle doggie sibling she just hasn't had a lot of opportunity since her foster mom has senior dogs. Reece is too young and full of playful energy for them. Reece hasn't had an opportunity to meet young children or cats. Her age may not be the best match as she may want to chase the kitties and little ones she may accidently knock over with her happy, playful energy. Reece is likely a better fit for an experienced dog person vs a 1st time dog owner. She'll need and want some love, attention, boundaries and someone who loves seeing a pup blossom from a young and wild girl into a well-behaved and well-mannered adolescent. Are you looking for a special kind of love? Then please consider sweet, sweet Reece. As part of Reece's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email [email protected]. If you wish to adopt Reece, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
