hi, I am looking to rehome my dog. I rescued her 4 months ago and realized we are not a fit. The shelter only gave me 30 days to return her however I thought that would not be enough time due to dogs needing at least 3 months to fully settle. I tried my best but my lifestyle is not suitable for her. I had called to ask what my options are only to learn I have none besides keeping her even though it is not working out. They even told me to humanly euthanize her if I can't keep her. I do not want that to happen. The issue is that she doesn't understand her own strength and is overwhelming to my smaller dogs. She gets scared off most men and needs time to warm up to them. She has hip dysplasia and can be nippy if she doesn't get enough exercise. She is stubborn and has a big personality. She honestly just needs someone with experience and patience. Also a yard and more space to vibe. She loves the water and playing fetch. She is a corgi Beagle mix and weighs about 35lbs. She is short and long. I have tried everything, talking to a trainer, walking her more, bedtimes. I just don't have the resources or correct environment for her. Despite her issues, she is very sweet and loyal. She loves going on walks and snuggling while we watch Gilmore Girls. She does like other dogs once she warms up to them, preferably bigger dogs though. She thinks this is her world and we're just living in it.
