About Murphy

Australian Shepard mix, approximately 2 years old and 47 lbs. Owner has developed allergies, looking for a new home for this fabulous dog. Murphy is a lover, and approaches animals and people with curiosity, and openness. He's always looking for a new friend. He loves kids, and would make a great family dog. Murphy's past is unknown, and prior to his current adoption he was in a shelter. He would do best in household where someone is home a decent amount of the day, we have noticed that he becomes anxious alone. Murphy loves going for long walks, and cuddles. He keeps busy by chewing on bones and his toys, and can also be a couch potato. He doesn't have a high energy level, unlike most Shepard's. He currently has a poodle brother and they get along really well, so he would be fine in a home with other animals (loves big and little dogs). Unsure about cats. Murphy is neutered, and up-to-date with all of his shots. Owner is heartbroken and is committed to finding an excellent fit. Interview and home visit will be required
