About Gideon

Gideon is a loving little booger that had a not so great start to life, but has blossomed into a goofy fun boy that loves attention and people. He loves all toys! He is a toy and food driven dog through and through! He loves other dogs and hasn't shown any issues with meeting new friends at all. He can still be a little shy when meeting new people, but will only try to hide or walk away until he feels comfortable. He took about 2 weeks to trust his fosters and no longer hide all the time. He now follows them around, approaches for love, and will snuggle on the couch as much as possible. He loves to nap with his head resting on his foster dad's shoulder or lap. Once he trusts you, and show him patience, you will always have a loyal companion in him. He still gets nervous in the car, he was dumped in the woods when he was 6 months old, but he has come a long way in that regard as well. He no longer whines or shakes the entire time. He's been to a few dog friendly stores and the only problem we had was with the big scary automatic doors. He wasn't a fan, but with encouragement, he was able to get through it. He knows how to sit and take things from your hand nicely, and we're working on stay.
