About Sophie

'Sophie' is a ~40 lb, 3 year old pit beagle mix. She is spayed, chipped, vaccinated and on flea/tick/heart worm preventatives. She's super loving and is used to sleeping with her human and is also house and crate trained. She loves to play and still has a lot of 'puppy' in her. She knows some commands and is food motivated. She pulls a little on a leash and still jumps up to greet visitors but is improving. She's great with women, & older kids, big men with deep voices tend to intimidate her at first. Like many dogs, fireworks and loud sudden noises scare her but she's fine with thunder. It's important to note that Sophie is a 'Houdini' dog (very skilled escape artist). She will require a secure fence. She loves other dogs but is a little fence aggressive. (She wants the other dog IN the fence with her!) She also can be jealous if she's not getting the same treatment a sibling dog is getting. She's an average barker and squirrel chaser. Health records and some supplies will go with her. Sophie has been a loved and pampered baby and deserves to go to a home where she will continue to be loved and pampered by her human.
