We got Doc from a shelter about 3yrs ago. He is sweet and learns skills very quickly. Doc would do best in a home with no cats/ small animals. He does do well with other friendly dogs only, or alone. He's happy to just be where you are. He gets car sick/overly enthusiastic and hard to handle on a leash in new spaces. He is not fully confident/comfortable with places with lots of activity. He is not aggressive, but overly excited/anxious and not always able to calm himself appropriately. He is ok with kids, but the energy level with young kids can be too much and would do best with teens/adults. Crate/potty trained, but occasionally nervous pees/ has a sensitive stomach. He would thrive in a quiet/calm environment, good routine and lots of snuggles. A fence is a must, he runs off if he sees something exciting. Will cover a private lesson with our trainer for the transition. He is fantastic, we love him, but recognize that he needs a different environment than we can give.
