About Tamera

Adoption Fee: $250.00
American Staffordshire Terrier / Australian Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi, my name is Tamera. You know sister, sister Tia and Tamera. Tia has already been adopted. I'm still hanging out with my foster family waiting on my special adoption day! Would you like to hear about how I came to be in the foster system? We'll set down a minute and I'll you all about it. One day, when I was 3 months old, my then owner (doesn't deserved to be called mom), picked my sister and I up and put us in the car. We drove for a while. Then out of nowhere, she opened the door and chunks us out like garbage and takes off. A lady seen it happen and posted it on Facebook. It was an extremely busy street and we were scared to death. We ran off and took refuge in some nearby thick woods. Several hours later my foster family read about it on Facebook and came in search of us. It was dark and scary and we see humans with lights coming through the woods. All we want to do is run and hide. But, my foster mom would not give up. Three hours later Tia and I were in the loving arms of my foster mom. My foster mom reached out to a rescue group to help. They were supposed to help with vetting, food and all my needs and work on finding me a forever home while my foster mom took good care of me. However, after several months of failed attempts at getting the rescue group to do their part, my foster mom had them release me to her ownership. All the while this has prolonged my ability to find a forever home. My foster mom then held off listing me due to what was thought to be a urinary problem. See I have to potty a little more frequently and limit my water intake before bedtime in my crate. I know how to potty outside and everything that goes with that. However, if I drink to much water I can't seem to hold it as long as I should. I have had numerous blood test, urine test and cultures done and all have been negative. I have had an ultrasound and CT scan done. Both showed nothing wrong. I've tried several different medication to no avail. What the vet believes to be the issue is just behavioral, with to many (8) dogs in a chaotic household. I'm hoping a new forever loving family and new home will solve my issue. My DNA shows me to be 31% American Staffordshire Terrier, 22% American Pit Bull Terrier, 21% Australian Shepherd, 13% German Shepherd, 6% Siberian Husky, 2% Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 2% Miniature American Shepherd, 2% Alaskan Husky, 1% American Bulldog. My DNA shows my ideal weight range between 35-60 lbs. I'm 9 months old and I weight 40 lbs. I'm UTD on all my shots, spayed, microchipped, dewormed and on heartworm and flea preventative. I eat good quality food. I'm not a picky eater and have no problem sharing my food. I'm sweet, lovable and a bit goofy. I'm still a puppy and have lots of energy. I like to run and play and get into everything like most puppies do. I love all kinds of toys. Some of which, I make confetti out of. I like gnawing on hard bones. I'm dog friendly. From large to small, I enjoy playing with them all. I've met one cat. We were cool! She put me in my place real quick! I'm a lover, not a fighter! Sometimes, I'm a little slow on meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. Specially if they are giving me compliments! I have only been around one child. I sure do like playing with him. We have a good ole time! I like to go shopping at Homegoods, pet stores, etc. I like to check it all out. If you are interested in adopting me and giving me a good loving home, lots of attention, providing me with excellent food and vet care as well as maintaining me on flea and heartworm preventative for my lifetime then ask my foster mom for an application. The questions on the application are there to assist my foster mom in finding me the best home possible. If you have any questions, please contact my foster mom. There is an adoption fee of $250.00. I am looking to be a member of your family, not a piece of property. I can only be adopted in the Houston and surrounding area in Texas. Meaning within 4 hours drive time of Houston. No apartments or rental property. You must own your own home and have a well maintained fence. I must be an inside dog. Don't get me wrong, I love to run around outside when I go potty or when my human is outside playing with me, but I certainly don't want to be left outside. I really love my foster family and all my furry playmates. However, I really, really want a family to call my own. I don't want to be 1 of 8. I want to be the center of someone's world. I am not picky, a single person, couple or family with children, I'm here ready and waiting. You want to go out and about, I'm game. If you want to stay home and chill, I'm cool with that too! You need a snuggle buddy, I'm your girl!
