About Marzipan

I did not want to do this, but I am currently running out of options. Earlier this week, we had a tragic accident where Marzipan got a hold of one of my brother's cats and unfortunately, the cat did not make it. I am looking for a new home for Marzipan ASAP as due to this, and previous incidents, I am forced to either try to find her another home, or put her down. I am trying to give her a chance at life. Marzipan is 5 years old, and will be 6 in September. Birthday is 9/14. She is lovely with people. Loves to play, cuddle, attention, and is incredibly smart, sometimes too smart for her own good. Ideally, a new home would be with either only adults or someone with older children as she has never been around younger children, so we do not know how she will react to other children. Also given the circumstances that I am trying to find a home for her, a home without any other pets like cats and dogs would be ideal. I have called and keep calling the local shelters around my area, and even outside of my area, but to no avail, as they all state they are full and cannot take her. Ideally, she needs to be out of the house before 8/12. If I do not find a home, I will have no other choice but to have her put down. I am hoping for a miracle.. Please share and if you know anyone who may be interested, have them reach out to me. Located in Williamsport, Pa Small rehoming fee, and I do ask that whomever is interested keep me updated on her wellbeing and how she is doing. She is my first dog and was my birthday present back in 2019, so having to rehome her at this point breaks my heart as I've had her since she was 14 weeks old. I want her to have a chance at life in a loving home. This isn't because she isn't loved or she isn't wanted anymore, so I will not entertain unserious offers. I need to ensure she will be going to a good home.
