About Lexi

Adoption Fee: $200
Anatolian Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

She is such a sweetie. Doesn't bark at the doorbell or someone knocking, rarely barks, etc. Trying to rehome her. We don't know much about her. We just rescued her from neighbors who turned her out in the heat on the desert in Tucson. We have had her about 2 weeks. She just ignores our 2 small dogs and the cat. She insists on being outside all night, guarding our home from Coyotes and Javelinas (wild pigs) She doesn't seem to attack, just scares them with her big WOOF and her size. She killed a harmless snake, but left a Gila monster alone after it hissed at her. She is very gentle and sweet. Neighbors couldn't keep her contained, and left her outside all day in 100-110 degree heat. She sleeps inside all day long, but I suspect she may want to be outside in daytime in the cooler weather, just a guess. She is fine with people, doesn't bark at the doorbell and just watches visitors for a few minutes, I think to see if they are a threat or not. She rarely barks more than one big WOOF at anything! She did bark a lot at the Gila Monster which is how I knew it was out there. But then she walked around it to come in the house. She ignores the rabbits and birds that are all over, ignores the Cane Toads.
