Bio: We are so excited to introduce Ellie, from the moment her foster mom saw her ready to come up she fell in love. We all had to be patient for a bit but let me tell you she was worth the wait! Warning her bio might be a little long, and will probably tug at your heartstrings but WOW are we lucky to have her. Ellie was found living in a man's yard in April of 2023 with 2 puppies. Her incredible foster home took the puppies but were unable to gain her trust. They visited her daily to give her food, water, and attention. In September of 2023 she had 8 more puppies (including Savana who was adopted out from Our Pack) Shortly after they took in her puppies they were able to catch Ellie and bring her home. All of her puppies were scooped up by rescue except for Savana, who came to us. We do not leave a mama behind so we made plans to bring her up once a foster opened up. She is a little hesitant but has already come a long way since she arrived on Saturday. She is on some medications for her hips and joints and we are working with our vet partner to see what she needs in the different climate and environment, but it is typically just a small expense to help keep her comfortable. We are also working on a bit of a weight loss plan as keeping her more on the trim side will help keep her in tip-top shape. We are excited to share more about this sweet girl as we get to know her better. One last thing to share is her foster in Texas did an Embark DNA test on her already so that helps to give a little more insight into her, so far the little Mastiff in her seems to be winning out as she is not the most active dog, but that is sure to change in time and as she gets more comfortable.
