About Herschel

Herschel is a super friendly and affectionate 2 year old Poodle mix. He is always happy to greet new people and has soulful, kind eyes. We can tell Herschel was never really socialized properly, so he can be overly excited when seeing dogs out and about. He will need an adopter who is committed to working with him on his excitement and teaching him manners when it comes to his play style. Herschel just really wants get out his zoomies and sometimes he doesn't get the memo that the party is winding down! He would be very happy having a canine buddy to run around with and keep him occupied in his forever home. Older kids would also be good for him. He definitely thrives having a yard. Herschel loves playing with squeaky toys, chewing on bones and digging in his bed like a silly boy. He is also a huge fan of cuddling in your lap. Herschel wants to be where his people are, so he is learning to work through his separation anxiety. He sleeps through the night just fine in his crate, but is working on being left alone for small amounts of time during the day. This is another reason why he might do best having another pet around to keep him company. Herschel is a sweet little man and we look forward to finding him his forever family!
