About Pua

Hello everyone! I've got quite the kiddo for ya. This is Pua Pumbaa (formerly known as Georgie). Pua has been dealt a pretty hard hand in life and deserves a good, loving, and understanding home. He is a neutered 2 year old Pit Bull mix. I can give more on his past whenever someone gets a hold of me. Here's some of the major things you have to consider if you are interested in adopting him: 1. Pua has a complicated past. Because of this, he is timid and unsure of himself around strangers and strange situations. Since he has had his signals ignored before, his has bitten once before. Unfortunately, his bite did lead to that person needing stitches. 2. Since I have had him, he has not shown an ounce of aggression. He needs someone to be his guiding hand. To be patient and give him the time he needs. 3. I have discovered that he is good with spayed female dogs, but I do not know how he'd do with any others. 4. He is NOT for an inexperienced owner. Experience with Pit Bulls is preferred, but may be waived for the right candidate. 5. I have learned that he does have a high prey drive, so small animals like cats/rabbits/etc. would not be ideal to have with him. He has not hurt my cats, but he does chase them. 6. I will require an application to be filled out as well as permission to check with your primary veterinarian. 7. I will also ask a rehoming to ensure he goes to a good home. 8. He will require time, patience, love, training, and support. Be prepared for this level of commitment please, for his sake. He is up to date on his DA2PPL (distemper/parvo/lepto combo), his Rabies, and his Bordetella vaccinations, has been recently neutered, and his microchipped with HomeAgain.
