About Shakira

Shakira is a sweet, cuddly older girl who is filled with so much life. She gets along great with other small dogs (no larger dogs in the foster's home), and has even shown a playful side. Shakira has sight and perhaps some hearing impairments, and her hips are visibly wonky, but she gets around and up and down short flights of stairs just fine. She is a happy, easy girl, and she's especially hard not to adore. When she's not sleeping in a sunny spot, which is most of the time, she likes to follow her foster mom around the house & enjoys being carried around or sitting with her humans on the couch. If taken outside regularly, she's housebroken. Shakira doesn't bark, but she vocalizes loudly when she's lonely or hungry, and has a little separation anxiety that she's working through.
