Courtesy Posting: X URGENT!! Riverside Shelter, San Jacinto location, So Cal - ID #A1807818-21- young chows https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD3/A1807818 male, 1.5 yrs 35 lbs https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD3/A1807819 female, 3 yrs, 40 lbs, entropion in both eyes https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD3/A1807820 Male, 2 yr 42 lbs, https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD3/A1807821 female, 10 mo, 38 lbs, left eye entropion HELP!!! THE RIVERSIDE SHELTER IS FULL, AND FOUR YOUNG, PETITE CHOWS (2 MALES AND 2 FEMALES) WERE CONFISCATED BY A KNOWN OWNER/LIKELY BACKYARD BREEDER AFTER THEY WERE FOUND ROAMING AND SEEM TO BE NEGLECTED. EXPECTED TO BECOME X URGENT 7/27 ONCE THEIR HOLD IS UP IF AND WHEN THEY DO, WE ARE LOOKING FOR CHOW SAVVY, RESPONSIBLE HOMES AND OR FOSTERS AND RESCUES FOR EACH (CAN BE FOSTERED/ADOPTED/RESCUED SEPARATELY). DOGS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME AT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA SHORTLY THEREAFTER. RESCUE GROUPS NEED A FOSTER TO SAVE! Pls contact Robin or SCCCRN if you can help. Please help us find chow savvy homes and or fosters asap for each of these chows ranging in age from 10 months to 3 years old. These chows are small, ranging from 35 lbs for the adult to 42 lbs, but may all be underweight. These dogs reportedly have a known owner who we were told was neglecting them, and the shelter is treating this as a confiscate case even though they were found roaming as strays. Someone reported these dogs were running at people at a school. They can each be seen on a leash at the shelter, so clearly they can be handled, and poor dogs may have just been starving, or starving for attention. The males have no reported medical issues, but the oldest female does have noted entropion in both eyes, and the younger female has it in her left eye, both requiring surgery. We would seek to pair interested parties to adopt with a rescue to assist with medical needs, if someone is not in a position to adopt and treat on their own. Therefore, please contact us asap if you are interested to foster, or foster to adopt at [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist with their placement. Please also contact us if you are wanting to adopt directly from the shelter, but please also contact the shelter by using the listing link above and calling (951) 358-7387. Rescues may email [email protected] and note the ID(s).
