About Crimson

CRIMSON is a tiny 9 year old, 5.9 pound Pomeranian Chihuahua mix who was sadly surrendered by her owners who were unable to keep her. Crimson was a little shy when she first came in, but she is a very sweet girl! Once she settles, she loves her people and follows them everywhere. She enjoys attention and loves to be petted and rubbed. She will sit in your lap for a minute or two, but prefers to sit by your side. Crimson is ok with other small dogs, but does not interact much with them except to grumble a little bit and guard her dog bed. She would be good as an only dog as long as she spends a lot of time with her person. In her prior home, she was a daddy's girl! Crimson has good energy, and while she does not play with toys or the other dogs, she will bounce around and play with her foster mom. She enjoys going outside but this little miss will only come to you when she's ready! Because of this (and her age and size) we are looking for a home with a fenced yard. Crimson is housebroken and will stand by the back door to let you know she needs to go potty. She is way too small to ever be out by herself! At night she cuddles up to sleep in her own dog bed on her foster mom's bed. Crimson has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, has had a dental, is heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about CRIMSON: She has a pokey-out tongue that you need to pay attention to so it doesn't get too dry, usually just by giving it a little poke so she puts it back in her mouth and by making sure she has plenty of water. She has no teeth and eats soft food or soaked kibble. Not kid or cat tested. She's fluffier than she looks in this picture!
