About Ozark

Ozark -Approx 3 yr old male Great Dane -Neutered and UTD on vet care, vaccines and preventatives **Needs to be an ONLY PET -Kids 8+ unless they've recently lived with a giant breed -Giant breed experience REQUIRED -Apartments, townhomes, and property with community dog walking areas will NOT be considered. Only adopters with private yards will be approved -Location Nashville TN area -We adopt NATIONWIDE Hi, my name is Ozark, but my foster mama likes to call me O-Z for short. They say I'm about 3 years old, and I'm the biggest lovebug and cuddler you'll ever meet. Turns out there are many different types of Danes, and I'm on the larger side-I can look you square in the eye from across the room over a standard kitchen bar. With my tall stature, long legs, and large paws, I sometimes get a bit carried away while playing in the yard, but I promise it's all in good fun. I'm still young and learning! I love playing fetch, tug of war, and snuggling on the couch, chair, or bed with my humans. No one knows much about my early life, but from what they tell me, it sounded ruff (no pun intended-I love to joke). When I arrived at Lucky Farms, I was 145 lbs and labeled 'severely underweight' by the doctor. I had some skin problems and my fur wasn't so nice. But with a bunch of TLC, a balanced diet, and regular spa days (I actually love getting bathed in the shower and even lay down to get my nails clipped!), I now feel like a million pup bucks! I'm a great helper around the house-I'll clean any dishes left on the counter and even lick the dirty ones in the sink. Plus, I'll make sure you get your vacuuming done quickly by chasing the vacuum and barking at it! I'm crate-trained and very motivated by food rewards. I'll happily hang out in my crate when you need to run errands. I get overly excited when meeting new friends, both human and animal. I can settle down when meeting new people after a while, usually after spending some time in my crate but after a lot of attempts, I feel I'm best suited for an only-animal home. I have a lot of love to give and I only want to give it to you! I'm still learning some manners, but I'm eager to please. A big couch for me to relax on would be perfect, and I'll happily help out and be in the middle of everything you're doing. I'm looking for my fur-ever family, and with a little patience, I'll be your perfect companion. Ozark is neutered and UTD on vet care, vaccines and preventatives. He is located in a foster home in Nashville TN area. We adopt NATIONWIDE but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up.
