About Lady

Say Hello to LADY!! Lady is the sweetest and super cuddly. She is dainty for a heeler at 35 lbs. She loves to be along with her people whether they are hiking, camping, paddle boarding, on a neighborhood stroll or watching TV. She rarely barks, does well off and on leash. Lady knows sit, stay, down, place, drop it, shake, and wait. She is house trained and crate trained (sleeps in her crate). She came to her current owners totally untrained, but has quickly learned everything they've taught her. Lady does great on car rides. She has energy for adventures and benefits from daily walks, however she also relaxes on her bed when it's time to be inside. Lady would do fine on unfenced land as she'd stick around. Lady likes to play with other dogs, although displays dominance when they are in her house. We believe it would be best for Lady to be the only dog and the apple of her new family's eye. Lady is looking for a new home because her current owners recently had a baby and she's done great with our baby, but become more anxious around strangers coming into the home. Currently Lady sits on her place while she watches strangers and gets used to them in her space. Although this is a process that is becoming more difficult for her owners to implement now that their attention is also focused on baby. Lady is mostly wary of strangers in the home and does well meeting them outside the home. Lady would thrive with a family that has a good understanding of the breed and a firm hand. She feels most relaxed when she knows who's in charge. In addition, Lady would do best with a family who regularly has the same visitors so she can get to know them.
