About Huck

We always joke he's the most cat-like dog you'll ever meet and he's the watch dog you could only dream of. He cherishes his personal space. Wants to be involved, but doesn't want to be pet or smothered. Even if he is off to the side, he is always watching and listening for threats. He is on guard 24/7. You can sit next to him and pet him, but he doesn't like to be laid on, etc. He does not like fireworks or gunshots- he will curl up in the closet for the night, but has never taken off out of fear. He does not dig to get out- if he digs it is to get something- a mouse, squirrel, lizard, snake, etc and even then he gets winded easily. He will play fetch a few times then look at you like you're crazy. He loves long early morning or sunset walks- doesn't like the heat. We always wait till it's in the 70s to take him for walks. He LOVES car rides with the windows halfway down- just enough he can stick his head out the window.
