About Leo

This is Leo. UTD on vaccines, neutered male Coegi. Hello everyone. Its Max, Xera, Leo, and Sheldons human. Been part of this group for a long time. Im making this post NOT because I want to, Im making it because I need help. Back in March we took all four dogs for a walk. Well Sheldon(chihuahua/corgi mix) somehow got tangled in the leashes and just started like screaming yelping. Well that was all it took to set Leo off. Leo started attacking him. My husband and I couldnt get him off of Sheldon. Luckily a man heard Sheldons screams and ran out of his house to help. Lets just say he hurt Sheldon. Sheldon had to spend night in hospital and have stitches and drain tubes. My husband and I got bit in the process of trying to stop Leo. Leo has never done anything like this before. We have been keeping them seperated. We switch every hour. Letting one or the other out of the crate or one inside and one outside. Fast forward4 months. I was getting ready to leave the house and I was gonna let the pack out. Leo went first with Xera and Max. I let them in and put leo in his cage, but for some reason the lock didnt catch. So I let Sheldon out and as soon as he passed Leo, leo jumped him. And started attacking again. Well Sheldon ended up getting hurt and more drain tubes and stitches. Took leo to vet to see if it was something medical going on with him. Our vet couldnt find anything so she referred us to a dog trainer/behaviorist. The trainer came to our home to watch Leo. The trainer said we had two optioms. First is to find him a home where he is the ONLY animal, no kids, and a fenced yard so he could go potty. Walks wouldnt be good cause he could attack another dog. The second option was to put him down. I honestly cant do it. Hes a healthy 3 almost four year old corgi who we rescued from a bad situation before his first birthday. Hes been such a good dog up until like four months ago. He plays and loves to be cuddled. He doesnt try this withMax and Xera. His only problem is Sheldon. And Sheldon is 10 years old and doesnt deserve to live in a house with a dog that wants to attack him. Its not fair to Sheldon or Leo. So I need to rehome Leo. Like ASAP. Its like I said I dont want to do it, but I have to think of Sheldon too. And I certainly dont want to put him down. So Im kind of stuck. If you or anyone you know are looking for a corgi and do not have animals or kids and have a fenced in yard please reach out to me. We live in Indy. Im not trying to be mean. Ive seen others post about rehoming their corgis and they always get alot of mean and awful comments. Im not looking for any of that because I already feel like Ive failed leo and Sheldon so please keep the mean comments to yourself. Thank you everyone!!!
