About Cruz

CRUZ is a 2 year old, 16 pound Chihuahua mix pup who was thrown over the fence into Francine's yard. He's really cute with his little bat ears! Cruz is a quiet, friendly boy who loves to receive pets and be close to his person. He has a very sweet personality and is content to just curl up in a lap or lie on a soft dog bed near you. He can be cautious around new people, but with gentle encouragement and pets, he warms up quickly. He would love a family that would include him in their everyday life! Cruz is good with other dogs and will play with them. He enjoys their company and would do well in a home with another dog. He does great riding in the car and knows how to walk on a leash. Cruz is about 80% potty trained and improving daily. At night, he enjoys snuggling up in the big bed or sleeping in a cozy space of his own. Cruz has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. When his foster dad went to kill a bug with a flip flop, poor Cruz tucked tail and ran away so fast. He's cautious around sandals or flip-flops, not if they are on the floor, but if someone walks by wearing them.
