About Nightingale

This pretty girl is Nightingale. She is a 2-year-old hound mix and weighs 35 lb. She was in a foster home but now at our shelter due to foster allergies. Here is what the foster says about Nightingale: ' Nightingale is a great companion. She loves affection and is sweet, gentle and friendly. She plays well with other dogs, is good with children and barks very little. Nightingale is smart and learns quickly. She walks beautifully on a leash and rarely pulls, unless she sniffs something really interesting! She does like to jump on people as everyone she meets is a new friend! However, she is easily redirected and a little training should resolve that behavior. It is pretty easy to get her into a calm or playful mood and then back again. Nightingale is housetrained, except for a couple initial accidents when she had just gotten here and adjusting to changes. She loves nylabones, walks, playing with the hose, being brushed and ice cubes! Some of her favorites toys are an empty water bottle, cardboard box or a pool noodle. Nightingale is an all-around delightful pup and will make a great companion for any family or animal lover.' Here is what DAWS staff say about Nightingale: 'What a lovely dog!
