(DOB 05/10/2020) Dixie is heartworm positive. Please don't let this prevent you from adopting her. She deserves a loving home like all of the other dogs, and the rescue will cover her treatment. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC) until after her treatment is complete. Introducing Miss Dixie, the belle of the South!
