About Sydney

Sydney is a wonderful dog for an adult household that can enforce boundaries for behavior. He has lived with my mom for the past five years however she recently became unable to care for him. He loves attention and just wants a belly rub. He is, however, quite anxious and suffers from separation anxiety when I leave the house. He is also fearful of other dogs and can lash out with a warning nip if he feels threatened. He would be ideal for a single person household that could give him attention, but also necessary discipline, particularly as it relates to jumping up on people. I have been firm with him, and he no longer jumps on me, but he does have the tendency to be so excited that he wants to literally give other people hugs. Because of the anxiety and the tendency to jump up, he should not go to a home with kids. I am not a dog person so I may be disclosing more than is common, but want those that may adopt him to understand his tendencies and personality. I live in Seattle and could deliver anywhere between Boise and Seattle within reason. I would be happy to set up a phone call and or FaceTime, if you would like to meet Sydney.
