About Clementine

We are in urgent need of placing Clementine and her friend Duff (Maltese, separate post). Their owner, my dad, unexpectedly passed away. Their home will be sold in the coming weeks. Shelters said they were too full or did not want a senior animal and that we should consider euthanization. This makes no sense to us as these pets are healthy and have plenty of life to live. Regarding compatibility mentioned above: Clementine has grown up with the Maltese (male) as well as a tabbycat and has not had any issues. Those are the only other animals that she has regularly been around. Clementine has grown up from pup to adult as an outdoor, friendly, loving family pet. She has been around numerous young children adn adults and has never had an adverse response. She is the perfect protector of property because of her size and convincing bark when a stranger shows up, but is an absolute love bug once familiarity is established. Clementine is accustomed to the routine of spending her days outdoors then being brought into the utility area of the house overnight. She is able to spend the night outside when needed as well. Her owner would bring the pets in for overnight home protection, then let them out in the morning, so this is the only 'house-breaking' that Clem has experienced. At Clementine's most recent veterinary appointment, we learned she has an eyelid issue in which they turn under making her susceptible to eye infections more easily but we were given medicine that helps prevent this. we have all paperwork about this from the veterinarian. Please consider helping Clementine find a new home soon!
