About Pongo

Pongo born approximately 2/13/24, male (likely) Pitbull terrier mix who came to us with his sister after they were both found as strays who were never claimed. He is still rather young and new to all basic training. In foster, he is working on housebreaking, crate training and basic puppy obedience. Pongo is still young, but he is doing well with other dogs, cats and dog educated children. He really seems to thrive with having a companion, so a home with another dog or active children to bond with him would be ideal. Please understand that he is still a puppy, so socialization, housebreaking and basic obedience will need to be continued in his new forever home - board members will be available for any advice as needed. To meet Pongo, please FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html Pongo's adoption fee is $350, which includes his deworming, neuter at our vet (when of age), vaccines (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) and microchip with lifetime registration. If you are out of area and the pup is too young to be spayed at time of adoption, adoption fee will be less, and you will be contracted to complete vetting with proof being provided to the rescue. *Note: please DO NOT apply if you are unsure about adopting a puppy. Yes, they are adorable and fun, but they also require a lot of work and full commitment by all family members.
