About Benji

Benji found us - he followed my husband back to our apartment after he went to throw out the trash. He stood outside our door and just looked at us so I fed him some chicken which he took very gently. He was matted and filthy so I put on some gloves to pet him and he was very happy to be touched. I tried out slowly carrying him and he completely submitted without any growling or aggression. He let me give him a long bath to get all the fleas off of him and he's been with us ever since. We have a toddler who we watched very closely the first few weeks around him. Benji has turned out to be the most patient dog EVER. He has little to no reaction to toddler crying, grabbing and the general chaos that comes along with an almost 3 year old. We got him fixed and chipped just in case we were able to keep him but our landlords are not budging on the no pet policy so we are looking for a home for him. He is good with other dogs as I've had him around my parents dogs. He had no reaction to fireworks on 4th of July. Likes to play independently. Isn't a picky eater. Very non-invasive but still likes to cuddle at night. Super submissive - so much so that if you try to play with him he just lays on his back lol While other dogs are barking he just looks. Seriously the calmest dog I've ever met.
