About Peanut

We found an abandoned puppy the other day near Leesville. He was anemic, starving, full of worms, covered in fleas, ticks, small wounds, and dirt. @We cleaned him up and brought him to a vet. Unfortunately, we are from Canada and travelling for my husbands work with kids, dogs and cats of our own. It's a little cramped for a third dog. The shelters nearby are likely to euthanize him so we don't want to take him there. He is SO sweet. Fairly house trained. Great with our kids and other dogs. Now that he's feeling a little more comfortable to be a puppy and has some food in his belly he's found his voice. He is figuring out not all cats like him. He is very timid and appears to have possibly been mishandled before. He winces and cowers very easily. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD He's had a Rabies and DAPP vaccine, wellness check. He's been given tick, flea and worm treatment as well as iron supplement. Hence the adoption fee just to recover some of the costs. The vet guesses he's around 6 months old and a Catahoula Hound. He will need continued iron supplement (which I'll provide) and small amounts of food as he still has a lot of weight to gain to be at a healthy weight. We will be picky about where he goes. Approved, loving home only.
