About Rambo

We never really know what life was like before for our shelter pets when they come to us as strays, but it was clear that Rambo had been through the ringer! He was extremely underweight and lethargic. His fur was matted, and cleaning it up revealed an abscess on his left hip. Slowly but surely Rambo has been gaining some much needed weight. He's looking so much better now! It turns out his left kidney was seriously damaged due to some previous trauma, so he ended up needing to get it removed. He doesn't miss it at all though and has been doing great! It seems that after all the hard times he's had Rambo is determined to be as sweet as he possibly can and soak up all the love he can get. He's just the sweetest boy, and he's usually very calm and gentle. He loves attention and is likely to return your pets by being affectionate. He has a low to medium energy level, and is a great leash walker. He loves his treats and takes them gently from your hand - even though he doesn't know any tricks yet. Rambo is a 2YO Lab mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 5/2/24. He weighs 41 lbs.
