Ellie is a four-year-old German Shepherd Dog, AKC registered. She is not spayed, but all genetic testing has been completed and the results are clear. She is fully crate and house-trained. She has been a cherished member of our family for three years. Still, unfortunately, an international move with prohibitive pet shipping costs has made it impossible for us to bring her along. Despite our devastation, our priority is to find Ellie a new home where she will be loved and cared for just as she has been with us. Ellie is not just a pet; she is a part of our family, and we want to ensure that her next home is the perfect fit for her unique needs and personality. Ellie is an absolute sweetheart, a true snuggle bug who adores car rides and walks, especially in natural settings like lakes and woods. She has a penchant for finding her way onto any bed she can, and her presence brings comfort and joy to our lives every day. Social and friendly, Ellie thrives in the company of other dogs and has been a loyal companion to our Havanese since she was a puppy. Ellie loves swimming with our children daily. She also has an uncanny knack for opening doors and letting herself in. She has lived with my husband, me, and our 7 children, aged 1-21. In addition to her affectionate nature, Ellie is incredibly intelligent and responsive, with an outstanding protection line. Thunder does not phase her nor do fireworks. She excels at following commands and has a remarkable recall, making her an ideal companion for those who appreciate the intellect and loyalty of the German Shepherd breed. We are seeking a new home for Ellie where she can preferably be with someone who has firsthand experience with German Shepherds and understands their unique needs. A large fenced-in yard is a must, as Ellie loves to stretch her legs and explore her surroundings. We hope to find an owner who is home more often than not, as Ellie thrives on human companionship and loves to be part of the action. We will conduct thorough home inspections and contact veterinary references for potential adopters to ensure Ellie's well-being. We are not in a rush to rehome Ellie; our priority is finding the perfect fit for her, where she will be cherished and cared for as she deserves. Ellie will bring some of her favorite belongings, including food, a leash, toys, and medical records. We want her transition to her new home to be seamless, filled with love and comfort every step.
