About Hector & Happy

Boy, do these boys have a story! They were part of hoard of 84 dogs in ONE HOME. We were contacted by the shelter they went to because Hector had a swollen elbow. He had been there two weeks by then. When he arrived at our vet's clinic and the leg was x-rayed, we discovered his elbow was dislocated and his leg was broken. Surgery to repair it failed because it had been so long since the injury. The leg had to be amputated. We were so sad and sorry for poor Hector until he came to his foster t home two days after surgery.....and never missed a beat! That painful leg was gone and Hector moved on with life. There is nothing he cannot do - he runs, jumps on the couch, plays and moves around just fine. He is VERY bonded to his brother Happy. They are slim tall boys who play hard and sleep together in one bed. They will be fabulous for an active family or one with older kids. Hector will have no long term issues from being a tripod!
