About Pete

Adoption Fee: $225
Treeing Walker Coonhound / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Welcome back Pete, was Cowboy. This handsome boy was recently returned when his family's situation became overwhelming. We hate this for Pete, but we're grateful his owner lived up to our contract and got him back to us so we can love on him and help him find a new home. Pete is two years old, still handsome as ever. He looks to be a mix with a tree walking coonhound, which is just the sweetest breed ever. He's a big boy, but oh so gentle and was raised with small children. He's house-trained, crate-trained, loves people, great with kids, and dogs, unsure of cats. Pete's world has been rocked. He was born at our shelter to Precious, adopted out as a puppy, and has no idea what just happened. His pictures show how scared he is and also how eager he is to let us know he's a good boy. ? He doesn't understand it wasn't his fault. He's just a casualty caught in the middle of hooman life with no say in the matter. We're helping him adjust to living in a shelter but we hope his stay will be short. He's a great family dog, sweet and gentle. He'll transition easily into a new home. In the meantime, we'll continue to get Pete settled and help soothe his worries away. We've got you Pete.
