About Chandler

Pit Bull mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Chandler is a resident at Memphis Animal Services (MAS). He came in on 06/20/24, and for some reason, has been looked over multiple times. Initially, he was the sweetest boy in the world. But the stress of shelter life is getting to him, and his morale is notably lower. He is rather small, just over 40 pounds, but he appears to be underweight. Not much is known about his life before coming to the shelter. He must have been a pet at some point, because he seems to be potty trained. He knows the commands 'sit' and 'down.' He knows 'stay'...sort of. He is a very calm dog. He's very relaxed. He likes to be around humans, but does not seem overly attached. He has been interested in other dogs, but the shelter typically keeps the dogs separate. Due to the stress of the shelter, he was placed on the euthanasia list on 07/13/24. He is eligible for a short-term foster, but the foster family cannot keep him after 07/31/24. Without other plans, he will be returned to MAS where he is at risk of euthanasia. The shelter is over capacity at this time, and without enough fosters/adopters, the facility is forced to euthanize. Please save this dog.
