About Star

Star came to our home after she was seized from a backyard where she spent her life on a chain unwanted and simply used to breed. Eventually the owners no longer wanted her and stopped feeding her which is when one of the neighbors stepped in after hearing her whine and cry. Animal control was contacted and she was seized and brought to us. She was literally a skeleton and only weighed 20.8 pounds. As an adult size dog she couldn't even stand on her own and was extremely dehydrated and the vet did not give her a good prognosis. After a week at the vets office and two blood transfusions later and lots of antibiotics and fluids she was able to come to our home. Since then she has gained lots of weight and is absolutely spoiled and now it's time for her to find her perfect forever home. Star truly is the star of the show and is an absolutely amazing dog.
