Mable was dumped in a rural location and fended for herself as I fed her daily at her dumped location. It was obvious she was drying up from having had a litter of pups. We've had Mable for 2 months and we're learning she is too much dog for us since we're in our sixties. She is very active and weighs 60 pounds. We have another neutered male dog who is 7 years old and only weighs 22 pounds. They wrestle and play well together, but the age and size difference concerns us. We keep them separated when not at home. We have several indoor cats that Mable pays no attention to which makes us believe she was raised around them. She is very interested in birds outside, so she would possibly make a good bird dog. She has never gone to the bathroom inside, but occasionally will chew on something when bored. She LOVES to eat and play!! Her estimated age is 1.5 years. Mable is a smart and beautiful dog! She will be happiest with someone who can help her be her most active. She's not been around children, but we feel she would love playing with them, but her size could be an issue. When outside, Mable would do best in a large area as she loves to run! She pulls hard when walking on a leash, but she can be trained. She is good at not jumping up on you when you're standing, but we've been trying to teach her not to do so when sitting. Mable deserves so much more than we are able to provide.
