About Spike

Now being fostered in Fort Collins, CO. Spike is a four year old Mini Aussie at around 35 pounds. Spike is good with other dogs, curious about cats, crate trained, house trained, walks on leash and does well in car rides. Spike came into rescue due to severe skin allergies due to fleas. He will need his new family to be diligent about keeping him on preventatives year round to help him avoid this problem in the future. Spike had lost a lot of hair during this time but it's growing back nicely and we expect him to have a beautiful new coat in by winter time. Spike would love a new home where he can be inside more than out and get lots of attention from his new family. Spike came from a home with children so we expect he will do fine with school age and up kids in his new home. Fenced yard or play area required.
