Purebred Catahoula, registered 2.5 years old, male, neutered, chipped 75 pound, up to date on vaccinations Working stock breeder from Texas 2 months of professional obedience training He is a beautiful, wonderful, loving dog. He is happiest when he is by his person's side doing whatever it is they are doing. He is extremely intelligent with tons of energy and needs regular exercise. Ideally he needs a person with an active outdoor lifestyle and room to run. He is extremely protective over his space and his person. He hasn't been around livestock but is bred to hunt and herd. He is obedient but can be very obstinate. He is very prey and food driven. He is OK with other dogs but hasn't had much time with others. We have invested a lot of money in him and his training. The ONLY reason he needs a new home is that he has nipped, growled and recently bit one of our children. Nothing serious enough to go to the hospital but it was the last straw for us. Around myself, wife and other adults he is great. Loves being next to us at all times. Our priority is that he go to a loving family without children who have time to spend with him. Please don't think you can change him if you have children. That is not an option. We have tried everything. It's just in his personality. This is extremely hard on our family and we are looking to re-home him ASAP within the week. It's just to hard having him around and it's breaking all or our hearts. Kid's included.
