About Sassy

Adoption Fee: $100
Great Pyrenees
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

I responded to a rescue post about her and got her from the woman that had her. She told me she was about 3-4 months old at the time and her teeth looked like it. I've been trying with her for probably 2-3 months but I don't have the proper facilities for her and I do have 5 other large dogs. She does get along with them but my dogs are all older. I've gotten her MOSTLY housebroken to reusable peeper pads and outside. She is lovable and friendly but destructive. I think that's why the foster home was rehoming her because she sure never told me about that. Not knowing this she had free run of living room, dining room and kitchen but prior to that she was in the master bedroom sitting room where she chewed on the wooden bed frame (stopped by applying No Chew) and some other things were destroyed. In the main house let me say our living room is devoid of furniture and one curtain is now higher than the other. No Chew was about 90% effective. I got her toys and chews for aggressive chewers and she does use them. Outside my yard is relatively small and is fenced but she digs at the moles in the yard and has suicide and a good time mixed up by trying to breacbreach my 14' python's habitat. She got into the neighbor's 's yard through our chain link fence which is only 4' high. Sassy would thrive on a farm or large property. Great Pyrenees are traditionally herding dogs as you probably know. She shows this by trying to herd her 'roommate' when outside by cutting her off or standing in her way. No aggression. She's also NOT food aggressive. She's very big and will mature at around 159 pounds. She is not yet vaccinated or spayed but I will have that done for the right adopter. I want everything about her known upfront she placement doesn't result in multiple rehomings. To that end if she doesn't work out she will need to be returned to me. Not passed on or put in a shelter. This is a firm requirement which will be in the adoption contract. Please do your research on the breed and be SURE you can handle this breed. For HER sake not mine. I will only do this once. If returned I will not risk her again. I love her and want the very best for her.
